Just never seemed to be enough time for posts and rants because of other things going on in my life. So what caught my eye is the app’s for the iPhone and how simple it can be to make quick posts to a blog and integrate my Twitter feeds and such.

So I’m gonna give blogging another try. Deciding on whether to import my old blog right into this one or just start fresh.

Everything is back up and running now but have to confess that It wasn’t the smoothest move. There were some MySQL database transfer issues and it looks like some posts, comments and images didn’t make it, however It looks like it only affected the past couple of months though which is good. 

The good news is that the site is back with only minimal damage.

Much credit goes to Pat Heard and his open source template Simple Life which I’ve modified to my liking.

I decided on a simple one column format with focus on 1 story on the main page. The colors and background are very minimalist as well, although I haven’t totally decided on the wood background yet. So that might change by the end of the week.
